Payday Loan Frequently Asked Questions | Cashcall

How do you earn your fee for this service?
Our services come at no cost to you, we are paid solely in the form of commission by the lender.. Cash Call is a broker NOT a lender. We use a unique, sophisticated algorithm to match customers to lenders. This matching process is based on application details, preferences, the lender but not the commission paid to us. This service is FREE. We will never – nor will any partner – contact you by any means to request money or the purchase of products in advance of your loan funds being credited. To learn more about cold-callers see our fraud protection guidance.

What is a short-term or payday loan?
A short-term and pay-day lender are those that fall under the definition of a high-cost short-term lender. The FCA have defined these lenders as:
– a lender who quote an APR is equal to or exceeds 100%
– provided the credit for a period of a maximum of 12 months and repayments of the loan is to be made within a maximum of 12 months of the date on which the credit is advanced.
– a high-cost short-term lender must not charge alone or in combination with any other charge under the agreement a payment exceeding or are capable of exceeding 0.8% of the amount of credit provided under the agreement calculated per day from the date which the borrower receives the credit
– excluded lenders are those whom offer their products as either:
i) a home credit loan agreement (home collected credit); or
ii) a bill of sale loan agreement (a logbook loan)

Can I apply for a loan?
If you are over 18, a UK resident and pay more than £500 of wages each month into a UK bank account you can apply for a loan.

How do I apply?
This is the really easy bit because you can do it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from anywhere. And our lenders work as hard as we do so even at the weekend you could get the loan you need. If you are approved you will be transferred to the lender’s website to complete the process and your lender may need a few more details. Then you can finalise everything online.

The APR seems high.
The regulations that govern financial firms like Cash Call mean we must use APR to compare loans. However, this figure is designed to compare loans taken out over a much longer period of time than short-term or payday agreements. We are confident we find the very best deals on the market for our customers.
How do I pay back my loan?
The lender will take the money owed via direct debit on the due date.

Do you use credit scoring?
We do. By entering into the application process you consent for our lenders to run a credit check.

How will I get the money?
It will be paid directly into your bank account.

And the service you offer is free?
Cash Call is paid solely by commission from the lenders and no one from Atlantic Square Limited will contact you requesting payment.

I want to stop the texts and emails from you?
You agreed to receive marketing communications from us during the application process but you can stop it at any time. Just click the unsubscribe link on one of our emails, text ‘STOP’ in reply to a SMS message or visit the SMS Opt Out link at the bottom of the Home Page. The messages will stop in around 48 hours.

This process if based on features of the application details, applicant preferences, and the lender’s product. However it does not include the commission paid by the lender to us. Cash Call DOES NOT charge our customers for finding the right loan for them. No-one from Cash Call or any of our partners - including lenders - will ever contact you to request you to send money to them or buy products from them in advance of receiving your loan funds. Consumer Advisory: Cash Call offers a loan matching service. Our website submits data you supply to lenders. Once a loan is approved, a direct lender could need more information from you which will be collected after we transfer you to their website. They may want to contact you via phone.

Cash Call is not a direct lender. Loan terms, conditions and policies vary by lender and applicant qualifications. Late or missed loan payments may be subject to increased fees and interest rates. Not all lending partners offer up to £750 loans, and not all applicants will be approved for their requested loan amounts. Loan repayment periods vary by lender also. If repayments are missed, lenders could use collection services.

Not everyone who applies will qualify for a loan. We do not engage in any direct consumer lending, we simply provide a FREE loan matching service.
